How to play?

This is a two-player game designed to train both observational skills and verbal expression. The game setup features two sets of components: 10 numbered tiles and 10 corresponding character tiles, along with 10 character cards that match the tiles. To begin, one player draws a character card and verbally describes the image depicted on it; the other player then attempts to identify and flip over the corresponding character tile based solely on that description. If the flipped tile matches the image on the card, the attempt is deemed successful. The players take turns describing and identifying until all the character tiles have been flipped over.

Ability Training

As individuals age, their verbal expressive abilities will decline. They may struggle to accurately identify and describe objects; this impacts their cognitive of objects, leading to a gradual confusion between different items—a process that can eventually result in a complete loss of the ability to distinguish between objects (for instance, they may sometimes confuse the identities of their own family members). This game serves to help seniors enhance their observational skills, retain memories of object characteristics, and translate their thoughts into spoken language. This process fosters greater mental clarity and reinforces their cognitive impressions. As the adage goes, “The limits of my language mean the limits of my world”; by engaging in regular exercises in expression, seniors can effectively maintain their cognitive connection to—and awareness of—the world around them.
